Joss Cues was started in 1968 and is still run like a family operation. The cues were used by some of the BCA`S Hall of Fame but also by TV celebrities. The cues are traditionally made in the USA even today.
The cues are made with the finest materials available today but by a traditional process which has made them famous. Here are the lines of products available today:
Current Line
A selection of the best and the most popular cues, the line comes with 18 beautifully designed products. They come with the popular Irish linen wrap in different stains or colors. The cues are highly customizable and players can choose from various options with most features. The cues come in various weight and they start from 18oz and go as high as 21oz.
The shaft size is also customizable and ranges from 12.5mm to 13.25mm. The tip also comes in various options: standard Le Pro, layered wizard, original champion, layered premium, kamui, cusinco. The standard tip comes in the included price while the rest of the tip options are added to the total cost of the cue.
Extra shaft can also be added to the cue with the same customizable options. The wrapping comes in multiple versions starting with the standard Irish linen (no added cost) and continuing with: graphite lizard leather, chocolate lizard leather and brown/black lizard wraps. The customization can`t be complete without a name engraving which can be done on the joint plate, on the butt and on the forearm. Leather and soft cases are available for the line for better daily protection.
Handmade Cues
These cues are often unique as they are made by hand. These handmade cues are also highly customizable and players can choose each major feature of the cue.
The tip for example is standard Le Pro. While it`s a standard option it`s still made from the finest oak leather which undergoes tanning. They are medium-hard so they are perfect for any playing style while having good chalk holding attributes.
Users can also choose the Original Champion tip which was the norm not so long ago. This tip is no longer manufactured so the supply is not limitless. The Wizard also comes as a tip option as it is known because of its 11 layers and good chalk holding capacities. The Kamui Black is the final option for the tip with its 10 layers of pig skin.
Break Cues
Joss also manufactures braking cues from some of the best materials from around the world. They come with a phenolic joint which is one of the strongest materials on earth. The sturdiness is completed by stainless steel joints, layered tips and Canadian maple wood base.
Joss Cues also offer leather and soft cases. The leather case is best for durability and it comes with a padded inside while the soft case is the economical choice for cue protection. The manufacturer manages to combine some of the best materials from around the world with maintaining a traditional approach of cue production.
